Coordinate your Dental Insurance and Save Money!

With the ever continual discussion about managed healthcare, dental has not been affected by the Affordable Care Act. However, there are a few techniques you can utilize to help reduce your out of pocket expenses. And while it is virtually impossible to obtain free dentistry, these methods can help you save more at the dental office.

Savings Tips to Reduce Dental Costs and Expenses
  1. Don’t wait until the end of the year to start your dental treatment plan. Most insurance plans are based on the calendar year (January through December). And on December 31, the clock is reset on your benefits package. That includes your yearly deductibles and maximums. Starting early in the year gives you an opportunity to use all your benefits before they expire.
  2. Don’t put off dental work that can be performed this year. For the same reasons listed above, utilize all your benefits before December 31 then continue in January should you need additional work completed.
  3. Enroll in a discount dental plan to cover services not covered by your insurance plan. The key is to choose a dentist that takes both plans and then you select the plan for that service. If your insurance has a waiting period for certain procedures, use the discount plan for that procedure. If you need more services that what is paid for by your insurance, continue obtaining services but at the discounted fee. Many insurance plans also restrict orthodontics, implants, white fillings, additional cleanings and cosmetic dentistry. And while you have to pay the reduced fee, at least you are saving hundreds of dollars by obtaining a discount rather than having to pay full price should you not have a discount plan.
  4. And should you lose your job or retire, you’ll lose the dental insurance but the discount dental plan can continue as your primary dental benefit!
Since 1978, American Dental Plan has provided tens of thousands of Arizona residents a cost effective approach to obtaining dental services. Over 750 participating general and specialty dentists throughout Arizona!  See how we can help you.  Visit www.arizdental.com and enroll today.

Full Dental Benefits Available to AZ Seniors

Many seniors who have retired from employment have realized that AZ Medicare does not provide routine dental care. And since traditional dental insurance is available mostly to employer groups, and the Affordable Care Act excludes routine dental services, where can an AZ Senior obtain affordable dental care without age or employment restrictions?

American Dental Plan has the Solution!

For a yearly membership fee of only $59* for one person, or $79* for two, members of the dental plan receive an exam and 4 x-rays at no charge (which more than pays for the cost of membership) and savings up to 40% on additional services such as cleanings, fillings, dentures, root canals, bridges and more! There are no waiting periods nor claim forms and over 700 general and specialty dentists participate with the Plan.

Unlike traditional dental insurance, American Dental Plan allows two individuals to enroll as a “couple” as long as they reside in the same residence. They are not required to be married nor does the couple have to include one male and one female.
